We’ve all dreamed about it. Many have wondered what would a fight between Superman and The Hulk would be like. Well, the wait is over. Michael Habjan and Francois Gratecap created a wonderful mini video series of a meeting between The Man of Steel and The Incredible Hulk.
The scene is set when Superman flies toward the Hulk in the Mohave Desert. It’s a place where they can’t hurt anyone but each other. If you seen the previous Hulk movies, and the recent blockbuster- The Avengers, we all know that The Hulk can cause some serious damage.
Also, Superman has caused some damage himself in comics and movies. The graphics on this series is incredible, and very detailed. Enjoy the battle.
The Meeting
I don’t know how these two got into the Mojave Desert, but it is a good meeting. What I love about this series is how Superman is most most beloved Last Son of Krypton in the movies, Christopher Reeve. It looks very much likes the late Reeve; he is the image we remember the most as The Man of Steel. It’s almost like watching Superman 5. We can just forgot about Superman 3 & 4, and enjoy the rest of the battle.
Superman vs Hulk: Part 1
It’s great to see Christopher Reeve- Superman back in action again. The two charge each other, and as expected they are both too powerful. Superman falls down after flying towards the Hulk, and is floored as if hitting a brick wall. However, it’s unlike Superman to stay down long, and the fight is getting exciting.
Superman vs Hulk: Part 2 & 3
The two almost seem evenly matched on strength. As The Hulk gets more angry, he gets stronger. However, Superman has incredible strength as well. We have seen Superman lifts and fly a whole island and throw it into space, fix fault lines, and move planets from hurling toward the Earth. The Hulk may be pounding on Superman, but we must remember Superman is invincible (at least when not around Kryptonite). The Hulk gets the best of Superman for the moment, but it’s very difficult to challenge the Man of Steel.
This was the last that Habjan made so far, as it states at the end of the video-it is to be continued. This video has become popular on youtube, and some people have decided to tweak the video. one such variation is below, and gives one type of ending to the mini-film. Let’s see what happens. Warning: it’s a bit gruesome at the end.
Ending
It’s a quick clip, but ends the battle. Using footage from Superman 1 when he reversed the rotation of the Earth, and turned back time. However, it does make sense; Superman coming that fast at The Hulk may just obliterate him. It’s a what if scenario, and the whole series was fun to watch. It’s always fun to see the Marvel Comics universe combine with the DC Comic universe.
