I remember as a kid rushing home from school to watch one of my favorite shows, G.I. Joe. I would collect as many action figures as I could, and collect many of the vehicles that they would fit in.
Cartoons are not what they used to be. They had a lot of violence, but it never influenced me to do violence. G.I. Joe was exciting to watch, and there always a good message at the end. My only regret was never getting the Snake Eyes action figure. Snake Eyes was always too popular for me to find the toy in stores. The below trailer tempts me to search for the Snake Eyes action figure once more. Check it out.
This trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation takes me back, and that is what you want in a TV to Motion Picture entertainment. Snake Eyes looks better than ever, Cobra has risen and is a threat to mankind once again. Here comes the Joes to the rescue.
It’s great to see many of our favorite characters, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Roadblock looks similar to how he did in the cartoons, and also the characters of Lady Jaye, Flint, and the original Joe played by Bruce Willis all look great. Does Bruce Willis ever age, he’s 57 at the time of making this film, but almost looks like he’s in his thirties. Bruce is still out there giving us an exciting performance.
The movie looks too good to wait. With all the excitement of the Avenger Movie, I think G.I. Joe 2 is right up there with one of the most anticipated movies of 2012.G.I Joe Retaliation opens everywhere June 29, 2012.
Sgt Slaughter was not in this movie, but I do think he should at least be in the third movie (if there is a third movie.) Sgt Slaughter can keep those Joes in line and kick some Cobra butt. Yo, Joe. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
