Let’s Get it On. First Gen GI Joe vs First Gen Transformers

Don’t you just love the old days when cartoons can be violent and exciting instead of cute and magical. Of course there are always detractors to such violence in cartoons, but I don’t believe violence in animation leads to violence in real life. If children are violent many times there are other factors involved. That is why I love this video from NGSmoov.

I grew up with those characters, Autobots vs Decepticons, and GI Joe; there was plenty of action in these shows, and I never had feelings of violence toward anyone. I am actually a pretty passive person, that just happens to love to see some nice good old fashion action every now and again. This clip sure does deliver.

I loved to see the real Devastator (the combined construct-icons) as opposed to that mess that was masking itself as Devastator in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. Scarlet, Snake Eyes, and the rest of the G.I. Joes are not intimidated by these large Transformers, they are right in the action. Omega Supreme looks great.

I had an Omega Supreme toy when I was young, it was pretty fun, his torso turned into an  actual mechanical futuristic train, and the rest of his body turned into a  track, and rocket. All I had to do was flip the switch and it rolled around the track. Toys were really fun back then. I still never got my Snake Eyes Action Figure though. This clips takes me back. I’m glad Dr. Smoov and Randall.NG made this video. it is amazing  that it was made bv a couple of guys not working for a major studio. NGSmoov even provided the voice for most of the characters.

The graphics are excellent. I thought I was looking at a video game. First Generation GI Joe, and First Generation Transformers never look more exciting. Spoiler Alert: The good guys win. Sorry for ruining it. Have fun watching the clip again.
