Ant-Man is one of the Marvel Entertainment LLC’s most anticipated movies slated to open July 2015. Excitement for the movie began when they showed test footage for Ant-Man at The San Diego Comic Con in 2012.
The Ant-Man movie is also a risky venture for Marvel considering that the character does not have his own comic book series out on in stores at the moment. True comic book fans are familiar with the character but those who are new to comic books or who just love comic book movies may not be as recognizable as say with a Spider-man or the Avengers.
However, that may not be a bad thing; Ant-Man be seen as a fresh new character for most as opposed to the same familiar old reboots and sequels, it may be a blockbuster for that reason alone. Also, it is a great opportunity to introduce another brand new team-mate to join The Avengers in a future movie.
Recently, Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End) director of the Ant-Man movie posted a picture of a pre-production Ant-Man scene in progress. It shows a picture of someone in the Ant-Man costume facing their back towards the camera, and in front of a green screen with bright lights surrounding Ant-Man.
Now I’m back in LA, it’s high time to finish a little something I’ve been working on…

They still haven’t made it public who will be playing Hank Pym AKA Ant-Man so the image posted could be just a test shot before the actual filming. However, it is exciting to anticipate for what is come when the movie is released. It’ll be interesting to see what they have in store for this little Avenger and of Ant-Man’s role in the next phase of Marvel films.
Ant-Man arrives in theaters on July 31, 2015. Avengers Age of Ultron arrives in theaters May 1 2015.
